1no table of contents–no index
By kibob
I just got this book and deleted it.
The book has no table of contents and no index!
It is not like this is a novel–this is fundamentally a manual. How are you supposed to know what is in it and where to find data you want? Any decent word processor would have formulated a table of contents and index. This is just laziness on the percentage of the author/publisher.
Scanning through, it just seems to repeat stuff you find in the Ipad manual and the instructions for software like Keypoint.
The book was free but it wastes your time so forget it until the publisher fixes it.

5A huge aid if you’re new to the iPad
By Susanna Hutcheson
I don’t have an iPad yet. I’ve been debating whether I need one or not. I don’t play games other than a word game. And since that helps my vocabulary and I’m a writer, I can’t in truth classify that as a game. Nor do I watch lots of videos — surely none I can’t watch on my computers or attach to my huge screen television. Still, I thought it might be helpful in a number of ways. I read this short book to support me decide.

The author beauteous much covers everything. He talks directly to the business user. There’s not one thing here for the casual user. Seems Apple left an aweinspiring lot off the iPad and you’ll likely have to invest in a number of third party apps. Fortunately, they’re rather cheap and look utile and feature rich.

You may do spreadsheets on the iPad and, essential to me, you may edit Word documents. Of course, important to me is that you may read magazines and newspapers, something the Kindle doesn’t do to the extent it’s done on the iPad. Moreover, you may without apparent effort read PDF files. Also crucial to me.

The author goes through everything step by step. He shows you how to set up your email accounts, how to use the spreadsheet and all the other major programs and features of the iPad.

One feature that impressed me was using the iPad as a portfolio. The author writes, “Most business owners wouldn’t think of using a laptop as a mobile portfolio, but the iPad is perfect. Just hand it off to an editor, potential client, gallery owner, and so on and let them swipe through.”

And, if your iPad misbehaves (and it will) the author says, “Occasionally your iPad or an app misbehaves and needs to be reset. To carry out a soft reset on the iPad, plainly hold the Power button and the Home button down simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. At that point, let go and grant your iPad to reboot.”

Now, if you already have an iPad and actually don’t yet know what all you may do with it as far as your business is concerned, you must actually invest in this book. It in truth does hold you by the hand and walk you through just with regards to everything. And surely if you’re like me — not sure if you need one or not — this book will support you decide.

Highly recommended.

5Intro to Your Ipad
By Alicia
This book is unquestionably a beginners guide to your ipad – it starts out by instructing you how to set up email, wifi, etc. before moving on to using the ipad for presentations, portfolios, and documents/spreadsheets. It is well-written, easy for readers to understand. The lack of a Table Of Contents is a drawback, but it is not a dealbreaker.
